Float is a kinetic furniture system built on a deceptively simple premise: what happens when you engineer furniture to move? A matrix of wooden cubes, that appear rigid and stable, until a touch reveals the system’s true character.
Rare earth magnets hold each cube in repulsion from its neighbors, while stainless steel cables keep the whole structure from flying apart. The table elastically deforms when force is applied, then stabilizes back into equilibrium.
